ICAO recognizes the territorial integrity and unified Georgian airspace. International Civil Aviation Organization does not take steps that would put it into question. An official letter with such content was received by Tbilisi from ICAO. Head of transport administration of Georgia notes that on April 16th a meeting of representatives of ICAO regional offices for Europe and the North Atlantic was held in Paris. The Parties reviewed actions of Russia, which has assigned a code to Sukhumi Babushera airport. Based on demands of the Georgian side, this code has been revoked, and Babushera airport declared closed to flights.
